This paper named “Mathematics and Thought”, explaining my reflections on this matter, will be my final Presidential Address as President of Nervous System Surgery Society, in this Journal.

I wish to well come the incoming President and Executive Committee Members. I know you will share your opinions, projects, reflections, ideas, comments and feedback with them, as generously as you have with me.

It has truly been a privilege and pride to serve as President of our Society.
