Abstract
Since peripheral nerves course superficially, and within narrow channels generally in the vicinity of bones and joints, they are readily exposed to chronic compression and eventually entrapment neuropathies develop (1). Prolonged operative times, improper operation position and compression of inappropriately applied elastic bandage may cause foot drop. Herein, we present a patient who developed foot drop after surgery. As a matter of critical importance, we think that during, and after surgery anti-embolism stockings should be used instead of elastic bandage, and the patient should be correctly positioned during the surgery.
