Abstract

The most frequent cause of foot-drop is radiculopathy of the fifth lumbar vertebra. Thrombosis of the lower extremity arteries is a rare cause of foot-drop. Our present case was admitted to emergency department with severe leg pain and foot-drop. Although we detected lumbar disc herniation and lower-extremity thrombosis concomitantly, the actual cause of foot-drop was lower extremity thrombosis. In this case-report, clinical and radiological features of foot-drop as well as treatment options are discussed.
